Never Feel Broke Again (Even When You Are): Ways to Never Feel Penniless

My name is Takiia L. Anderson also known as The Frugal Biddy. I am a licensed attorney who was able to pay off six figures in student loan, credit card debt and car loan debt in less than nine years. I did this all the while being a single parent! I graduated from law school in 1999 with approximately $111,000 in student loan debt, an almost two-year old daughter and my entry level salary was $34,102. I made a lot of sacrifices in order to ensure that I stayed laser focused on paying off my debt and saving the maximum I could towards my retirement. Not only did I clear out six figures of debt but I was also able to save so far $500,000 in my retirement and $15,000 of an emergency fund. Additionally, I saved three years worth of college tuition for my daughter. I never had anyone sit down and instruct me on how I should deal with debt or how I should save money. I learned it all on my own. And while I am not perfect and I have made mistakes I believe that anyone who follows me will gain a wealth of knowledge. My desire is to be an accountability partner for anyone who reads my blog. I truly believe that YOU can live a debt free life and can amass savings. It may take some time but it can be done.
