Spend Less and Save More on Bras: Bras and Tattas

Spend less and save more on bras.

Bras and our tattas have been in a battle since the early 19th century. Today, we must find affordable solutions to spend less and save more on bras.

Facebook post about big breasts hurting your back.

My cousin (not the person pictured) posted this comment to her Facebook page:

Heavy boobs not only hurt your back but the cost to properly secure them in a bra can be a price shocker. Bras can average between $50 to $75 each. How to spend less and save more on bras is challenging. Most women probably have an average of five bras. That’s approximately $375 on bras alone. $375 may not seem to be a lot for some women.  There are ways that we can all spend less and save more on bras. Finding discounts can allow you to buy additional bras so you can rotate wearing them.

The Anatomy of a Bra for Your Tattas

Anatomy of a Bra and its parts

When shopping for a bra think “In” and “Up.” You want a bra that holds you “In” and keeps the girls
“Up.” A bra has all the essentials needed to hold the girls: cups, bra band, bra sides/back, bra straps and hooks. The cups holds the girls IN; the bra bands along with the bra straps and hooks holds the girls UP.

Bra Shopping for the Tattas and Sticker Shock

Besides shoes bras are probably the most expensive single item clothing for a lot of women. Paying premium price for something that is hidden under your clothes hurts. A woman who chooses to wear a new bra every day will spend an average of $525 on those bras ($75 per bra at seven days during the week). However, that is an AVERAGE. There are women who have spent $75 to $100 of more on a single bra. That’s as much as $700 for bras.

How To Save Money On Bras for Your Tattas:

Get properly measured.

Get measured at two different places in order to ensure that you are the size you THINK you are. I had someone measure me and tell me I was a certain cup size. I told her I was not that cup size (her assessment was smaller than I know I am). She proceeded to bring me bras in that smaller size and guess what, they didn’t fit! There was spillage everywhere. I felt like a biscuit in a tight can ready to bust.

Shop at an Outlet Store

Maiden Form, Soma Intimates and Hanes all have outlets that I have been  to buy bras.

Shop Online

Once I found a couple of favorite brands that fit me well I proceeded to look on those companies’ websites to see what deals they had. I generally go bra shopping in the summers and that, coincidentally is when a lot have their semi-annual sales. I have found success in bra shopping that fits my budget at the following online stores: http://www.barenecessities.comhttp://www.herroom.comhttp://www.brayola.com, and http://www.soma.com. When I shop online I always look for buy one get one half off and I go directly to each company’s clearance section.

Buy a couple of new bras every couple of months or bi annually.

If you are in a budget crunch and don’t have $400 to $600 to spend at one time on bras, buy one or two every three to four months.
