I Don’t Want To Buy A House

I’m usually passionate about everything in life and a pre-planner.  I’ve thought about buying a house and I do understand the benefits of homeownership.  As it stands for me a house is a huge responsibility and honestly would suck up more of my income than I’m willing to commit.  When I think about home ownership I think of:

1. Paying the Orkin Man because Georgia has these water bugs and I just can’t….

2. I know that I could buy a townhouse and not worry about yard work but I have dogs and honestly get tired of taking them out to use the bathroom and for walks.  I’d like to just open the back door and let them frolic in the grass.

3. I think about increasing property taxes that would morph my initial payments into something painful. Forget about all my trips to take me away from the stresses of the world.

4. I like the convenience of “the African Americans/inner cities.” Living in the city is great. I’m literally five miles from my job. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

5. I’m just not mentally and financially prepared for it.  I only have 13 years before my retirement. Whatever I buy I have to be sure that I can have it paid off my then.

I’M JUST NOT READY AND THAT’S OK!
